The majority of my career has been spent in family practice, with three years spent working in chronic pain management.
I advanced my education at Oakland University in 2013 by completing my Doctorate in Nursing.
I am passionate about serving community and have been a part of multiple local and international mission teams providing medical care and participating in building projects.

Pamela J. Kuzera, FNP-C
Family Nurse Practitioner
I earned my Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Wayne State University in 1994 and my Masters of Science in Nursing at Oakland University in 2017.Â
During my twenty-three years as a registered nurse, I worked in the emergency department, intensive care unit, and recovery room. My desire to advance my nursing career and passion to provide quality care to patients of all ages lead me to become board certified as a family nurse practitioner.
I began my career as a correctional primary care nurse practitioner and then in August of 2018 enthusiastically joined the Family First Capac and Armada team.Â
When I am not at the office, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and our sons and daughter.
Sarah A. Hunger, DNP, A-GNP-C
Adult Gerontological Nurse Practitioner

I officially joined the Family First team in July 2023. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked as a trauma nurse for 16 years.
I earned my Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Oakland University in 2007. In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the call to advance my nursing career became stronger than ever. This led me to Grand Valley State University, where I earned my Doctorate in Nursing Practice degree in 2023.
I spent 18 months training at Family First with Dr. Karey Hartford. As a small town girl from Richmond, my passion to provide care to small town communities runs deep.
When I am not working, I am spending time with my fiancee and our two children.
